Date Night

Last night D and I went to "First Fridays" in Chinatown where galleries, boutiques, cafes and restaurants have art exhibits and mostly free entertainment. We walked around for a while, went in an art gallery or two but then had to make it to Indigo for a dinner reservation just in time to get out of the hectic street crowd. I had been looking forward to going all day, but once we got there I realized this mama's not cut out for that scene right now... being 7 1/2 months pregnant and all. I just feel too protective and fragile and it seemed every person that walked by wanted to nudge my belly in some way. The mama beast in me started to come out and D saw that as our cue to head over to the restaurant 10 minutes early and hope they'd seat us already. Luckily, they did. We were soon in a comfy, air conditioned, dim lit room with full glasses of ice water and room to breath. My guard came down and I felt like myself again. I think even baby bird felt better. When we first sat down she was bouncin' all over the place.. probably fueled by my adrenaline.. but soon after she settled in.
Dinner was super delish. Even better was the double chocolate torte a la mode that we had afterward.

All in all it was a good night. I always love getting dressed up in heels (yes I still wear heels) and going out for a night on the town with my man.
But no more big crowds for me until I pop this little birdie out!

Off we go..
Crazy ass crowd..
Yummm..
Being silly. I think this is D's wanna-be pirate face..
❤❤❤
