I Just Don't Like Naps

I've never been one to take naps. I could pull two all-nighters in a row and still not end up taking any naps because:

1: They never made me feel better. In fact they made me feel worse. I always woke up groggy and achey no matter how long or short the nap.

2: I feel like it's a waste of my life. I sleep at night time. If I don't get enough sleep one night oh well. I just can't bring myself to sleep any of my day away. (Although this will most likely change once baby bird arrives.)

3: It confuses me. I wake up and feel like it should be the next day. Afterward I think the things that happened before the nap happened the day before. It's all whackerdoodle!

Well folks. Yesterday morning D and I woke up before 6am! We stayed in bed for a while thinking we'd fall back asleep but it didn't happen. So, I got up, showered, and wrote yesterday's blog post while D made some breakfast. Immediately after eating (it was 9am at this point) we both went into what we like to call a "food coma." We agreed to go back to bed not thinking we'd actually sleep.
I napped people. I napped for 2 hours. Guess what? IT.STILL.SUCKS. I felt like shit for the rest of the day. Groggy? Check! Achey? Check! I even felt lightheaded for most of the afternoon/evening.

Being how we are though, we still managed to get out and about. Went to Salvation Army again and scored a $20 mid mod dresser to use as a tv stand in the living room! So perfect! Then paid a quick visit to the lovely Erika at work, went to the hardware store for some DIY supplies, back home to eat and start some projects and finished the evening at dinner with my friend Dez.
Uneventful and eventful at the same time.

D made my breakfast look like a flower..
Wide awake..
Food coma.. he didn't fake this for the picture... I don't think he even knew I was taking it..
Off to Salvation Army with high hopes. Yes, I wear leggings a lot. It's kinda become my signature pregnancy look right now. I've tried to wear a few of my dresses sans leggings but it's just more comfortable going out into the world unafraid of sudden gusts of wind or bending over to pick something up.
I love that all three of us are in this picture..
Driving his work truck to pick up the dresser/tv stand..
Looking down at our cutie baby birdie..
Dinner at my favorite Thai restaurant. I don't know if I've mentioned before that Thai food is probably my very favorite.. and Thai Iced Teas = true love.

Be back later for 3o week update!
