Make The Best Of It

D didn't get home until 7 last night and we both had pushed through a long day- me cooped up with a cold, and him underground doing manly things. So he decided to take me out to dinner to get me out of the house and food in our hungry bellies. As soon as I got out the door, with my hand in his, I felt my spirits elevate and my heart was full again. We had a slow, steady dinner. Talked about our day, our plans, our future. It was nothing fancy or cliche romantic but it felt that way to me, and that folks is what real love is. We could've been cleaning toilets together but I still would've felt butterflies and better than before he was home.

So here's to every kind of romance. Cliche or not.

  1. Love is grand. : ) That's how I feel about my husband. It's nice to always have a best friend/lover by your side, isn't it?

  2. I understand what you mean completely, just being together no matter where feels right...like home. (now that sounded cliche)

  6. You two are so adorable! love is a splendid thing! (I could totally burst out into song now! haha) I feel the same about my hubs. I think its wonderful how you can have a horrible day and then you see your one and only walking through that door and it instantly makes your breath catch and your heart skip a beat. Then you know everything is okay. I love love. haha!
(yes, I am such a sap!) Haha.
