Rowan Has A Question

"What should I be for Halloween? I'm so itty bitty and my mama can't find a costume so she's just gonna sew something onto one of my onesies... what do you think she should sew?"

  1. You could make her into a little bird! She would be a beautiful one! Or a little peacock! That would be cute.

  2. Magnum!
Oh, sorry, but I loooved that series - and the title-song! Tom Selleck sadly was translated to German - luckily with a seexy voice, like really sexy (also in many BBC-Documentaries).
    Not freaky (to me) though.

  3. an itty bitty bird. make wings out of felt (for durability), sew elastic from one side of wing to the other, so they can slip over arms (sorta like swim floaties) maybe a sweet little feather headband to match? on a onesie, sew "feathers" from felt, scrap fabric or even faux feathers.
    good luck :)

  4. My pick is to sew a tiny tutu for a baby ballerina.
Do you have a Carter's store by you? They have ADORABLE onesie 'costumes' for teeny babies. They are on sale now for like $5 each, might be even cheaper than making your own?

  6. Ro, I think she should sew a flamingo onto your onesie. Inspiration from this costume.

  8. It would be really easy to make her into a ballerina but adding a small tulle skirt to the bottom of a onesie. Or you could sew some wings on and make a little headband and she could be a butterfly or a bumblebee or a ladybug. Or even a cat or a bunny rabbit.

  10. I knitted up my cousins newborn a pumpkin hat, and a strawberry hat. She's going to choose one, and then throw on a matching onesie! tadaa

  11. Hmmm... I could see her as a strawberry. Simple enough- just order a strawberry cap off Etsy and decorate a red onesie :)
