Papa Post

Hello everyone! I'm really excited to start a new feature here on TART called "Papa Post!" As you all know, D plays a huge part in this blog and in my life, and I've wanted to have him start guest posting for a really long time but he never sat down to do it until now. So, once a month he'll be posting about whatever he wants. It could be about us, or fatherhood, or music, etc. I just wanted you guys to all hear from him once in a while and get his perspective on the world. So without further ado, here's D's first Papa Post!

A guest post by yours truly
Ro's pop..

What does one do for a guest appearance on a blog? Do I let the world in on a sneak peek of my day? Tell a funny story about the creator of this internet world you all seem to be drawn to? Or maybe give a little advice to the ladies out there from a man's point of view, or to the men from a dad's pov. The list could go on forever and I still to this day can't seem to get how people could come up with something everyday to write about that others would find interesting to read, pretty amazing if ya ask me.

What first came to mind was "a day in the life of" but after thoughts of what worries could develop from my lady about what really goes on with my day at the "office" I decided better to keep that stuff to be told when we're old and gray. She'd probably go gray with all the worrying. With that being said I decided to go with a memory.
This particular memory was back in the time of puppy love and the dating period of when we were busy making all of our "firsts" as a couple, which now we do with our baby girl. These particular days were like most others except the sun was brighter, the sky was clearer, the clouds were smoother, and the mountains were greener ( which is like everyday here) (haha) anyway I'm not too caught up in what we were doin or where we were goin, but more with the feeling that was involved. See when we first started dating we would go for drives in my 64 impala wagon, we'd just drive. I loved those days and how we could get so lost in just doing nothing with the one you love. There was definitely some old charm stuck inside that car, it made everything special. We usually wouldn't even talk that much just blast music and drive, enjoy the sunshine, the old bench seat that kept us close and the approving nods of the people passing by. Everyone loved that car and I can't wait to bring the magic back home when I have a garage and can work on it and go for Sunday drives again with my two gals.
