Rowan's Schedule

Someone requested that I post about Rowan's schedule. Now, this is gonna be pretty boring because, well, it's super simple.

Every single day, like clockwork, Rowan wakes up sometime between 7 and 8:30. I just wake up whenever she does.
We get up and I change her diaper and take off her pjs to let her have some nakey time in the morning before her first nap.
I feed her and she hangs out and plays with mama for about 45 minutes afterwards.
Then she gets sleepy and shows her cues (a bit fussy) and I bounce her around the house.. practically jog in circles... until she passes out which is never more than 5 minutes. If it takes longer than that, I know it's too early and I let her play some more.
So she's back to sleep about two hours after she first woke up.
REPEAT throughout the day. She takes about 4 naps (maybe 5 if she was up at 7).
Then she falls asleep (after bath time) anywhere from 7:30 to 9:30(depending on when she woke up) and sleeps through the night. She's actually slept through the night since she was a month and a half. I know. Don't hate me.

THAT'S IT! She's seriously the happiest, easiest, chillest baby ever and trust me I do NOT take this for granted. She's been on this schedule for months and there's only been maybe two nights where she didn't fall asleep for the night until 10-10:30. Rebel. She's also teething right now but handling it really well. She's not fussy or bothered by it, just chewing everything and drooling up a storm.

Like I said, don't hate me.
I already know that our next baby will be a complete terror to get us back for how easy we have it this time around.

  1. I have to admit, I kind of do hate you. Just kidding. A little.

My Adelaide is really fussy. And often. Not chill like Rowen. Maybe Rowan could teach her a thing or two? Like how to sleep for longer than 3 hours at a time? And how to go down for a nap so quickly, and then stay that way, in her own crib?

Adelaide is pretty much on a 2-hour wake schedule too, though there are many days when this is all out of whack, like today. And she loves, loves, loves nakey time.

You got lucky, lady. But I'm happy for you!

  2. She is sooooo stinkin' cute! Glad that Rowan is such a good girl. It is crazy how I have been told by pretty much every set of parents though. If the first one is an angel, the second one will be completely opposite. I've heard that its vice versa for not so angelic babies first, then angels second. Either way, everyone will go through it. :)

  5. This is my day! not as long of naps, but basically the same thing; at 830 on the dot, eat and play until his 11am nap (usually 2 hours). lunch, 30 minute nap, dinner and play and bath and bed by 730pm. repeat repeat...

he has also been this easy since birth and i too think that our next child will be a nightmare (that goes for pregnancy, too. easy 1st pregnancy, assume the next one will be the last hahaha)

  9. This is Emmy's EXACT schedule, too! She used to go to bed around 10:30, then wake at 9, but the last week she's been going down between 7-8, then waking up between 7-8, also. I definitely don't take it for granted either, but I'm enjoying every moment! :)
